HBO Internship: Product development release process analysis
Analyze, document and identify improvements in the product development release process at DAF Trucks
Functiebeschrijving
We are seeking a motivated student to join our IT PD team as intern to analyze the product development release process. The primary goal of this internship is to analyze and document the release process of newly designed or updated products within the Bill of Materials (BOM) structure at DAF Trucks. This process is critical as it directly impacts other departments at DAF, like production engineering and after-sales support. It is currently supported by several legacy systems and documentation is limited. Therefore, there is a significant opportunity to enhance efficiency of the IT PD team and reduce (repeat) incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Gather the necessary information from existing system documentation and different stakeholders within IT and PD of the product development release process.
- Create structured documentation about the product development release process and the systems currently supporting it.
- Identify weaknesses and advice on improvements to be made.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the progress.
Jouw profiel
- Currently enrolled in a relevant HBO program (i.e. in Business or IT domain).
- Experience with Business Process Management is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English.
