We are looking for an intern who will assist us to improve one existing tool used in our wiring harnesses development flow.
As an intern you will be responsible to understand the functionality of the current tool to be able to solve some bugs and create requested improvement from users, you should modify the current tool code using the expected methods/programs that will make easy the future tool maintenance for our IT department, so you will be in direct touch with our IT specialist in these kind of topics.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Understand the purpose for the current tool
- Modify its code and architecture to make the future maintenance easy for DAF IT
- Fix bugs and implement requested improvements
- Organize follow-up meeting to show your progress and tool test sections with key users when you have updates to deliver
- Your goal is, as already mentioned previously, to create a new version of one current tool used in our development flow that has described bugs fixed and requested improvements implemented, using the expected methods/programs that will make easy the future tool maintenance for our IT department
- Create a project planning with all steps necessaries to match your goal.
Jouw profiel
- Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering).
- Strong programming skills
- Experience with C# programming language, and SQL database, and API management.
- Experience with Azure and CICD pipelines is preferred
- Familiarity with documentation and source code management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Afdeling
The System Wiring department is part of the VEE (Vehicle Electrical Engineering) responsible for all Electrical Schematics and Wiring Harnesses development for DAF.
Our department has current around 68 colleagues splitter by colleagues working onsite at DAF and colleagues working remotely (from other companies supporting us on the development).
Our department mission is to stand for reliable and efficient electrical connections between all electrical components in the truck. We do this by designing high quality electrical installations.
